Terms of Service
Who we are
AssayDirect is a trading name of Hong Kong Iright International Trading Co., Limited ("AssayDirect", "we"). These terms apply to every order placed through assaydirect.com.
Services and scope
Each standard service has a published scope, input requirements, deliverables and price. Work outside that scope is quoted separately through a custom project enquiry. Services are for research use only and are not for diagnostic or therapeutic use.
Where work is performed
Experiments are carried out by audited partner laboratories in China. AssayDirect defines the scope, routes the work, reviews the data and remains responsible to you for delivery. You are responsible for confirming that this arrangement meets your organisation's requirements.
Orders and payment
Prices are in US dollars and are fixed when you place the order. Card payments are processed by our payment provider; we never see or store your card number. Orders paid by invoice or bank transfer are scheduled once payment is received. Taxes and duties, where applicable, are shown before payment or in the shipping instructions on your project page.
Delivery of results and material
Standard orders deliver data and reports through the client portal. Physical material, including expressed protein, synthesised peptides and your original samples, is not shipped unless we agree this with you in advance. Any shipping fee is then added to your order as a separate line, payable before dispatch, and does not change the amount of a lab fee already paid. Material may be used up during testing, so we do not promise that any will remain.
Your inputs
You confirm that you have the right to provide the sequences, samples and information you send, and that samples are packed and declared as described in the shipping instructions on your project page. Every sequence is screened before synthesis; we may decline inputs that raise biosafety, legal or export-control concerns, and refund any amount paid for declined work.
Turnaround and results
Turnaround times are estimates that start when inputs pass intake review. Results are released after scientific review. Candidates that fail to express, bind or meet acceptance criteria are reported as results; how failed runs are handled is described in each service's scope.
Confidentiality and ownership
Your inputs and results belong to you. Partner laboratories receive coded samples and sequences without your name or project details. We do not resell your data or use it to train models. We will sign a mutual NDA on request.
Cancellation
You may cancel an order before work starts for a full refund. After work has started, we refund the amount paid less costs already incurred.
Liability
If a service is not performed as described, we will repeat the affected work or refund the amount paid for it. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for an order is limited to the amount paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
